Vonnie Jones could be called the epitome of a true rider. A rider since
1980, Vonnie learned from her older brother George. It wasn't long before
she purchased her first bike, a 1980 Honda (400cc generic). Cruising
through the streets of Washington, DC, Vonnie rides for pleasure and
believes strongly in safety gear. "Always wear safety gear (full face helmet,
leathers and boots). I've been down twice, hard; it once took me to the ER."

Vonnie has been through several bikes over the years: a 1982 Kawasaki
GPZ 750 (750cc sport bike) 2002 Kawasaki ZX6R (600cc sport bike) and
often rides with her husband, Donnell. Daughter, Tyler, 8, can often be
found holding on tightly, although she tries not to ride with a passenger.
She's also done a trip - Washington to Virginia Beach and back - all in one
day! As for female friends that ride, Vonnie has very few, but "I'm always
looking for more!
